The ANZ Switch Platinum Card is an award winning credit card issued by ANZ in Singapore. The card is previously known as RBS Switch Platinum Card and has since change its name after RBS Singapore was acquired by the ANZ on May 2010. Before this, the card is known as ABN AMRO's Switch Card after ABN AMRO was acquired by the Consortium of RBS, Fortis and Santander in October 2007. This is a popular credit card in Singapore which offers one of the lowest interest rate at 18% per annum. This card has no annual fee but inactive card accounts through any Card Transactions over a period of 12 months will be terminated or suspended by the bank. This is to encourage cardhorlders to spend using the Switch Card, which is well-planned without burdening the cardholders, considering Singaporeans normally have more than one credit card. The card also offers free cash advance service on automated teller machines, helping you to save on fee which is commonly charged by other card issuers for such transaction. Through FlexiPlan and Auto FlexiPlan, cardholders can enjoy up to 12 months of interest-free instalments on your retail purchases. Auto FlexiPlan is a 12 months' interest-free instalments for any single retail transaction equal to and above S$1,000. however, it comes with 3% admin fee. Whereas FlexiPlan allows you to enjoy flexible repayment plans of 3, 6 or 12-month instalments for a minimum combined(5 combined retail transactions within the same statement) amount of S$500. Note that one time upfront processing fee of 3% (for 3-month or 6-month plan) or 4% (for 12-month plan) of purchase(s) amount applies. Although there is an admin fee/upfront processing fee, it is a convenient facility in case you need to make big purchases on credit. Furthermore, you can save on the interest charges. Cardholders can enjoy exclusive discount on electronics offers, S$1.50 off per ticket with purcahse of 2 ticket with RBS Credit Cards at Shwa Theatres.
