The Emirates Citi Platinum Card is for Australians who travel frequently with Emirates Airline and want to earn the Emirates Skywards frequent flyer miles. This card comes with a maximum $100,000 credit limit and annual fee of $229. An annual fee of $90 is charged for an additional card for supplementary cardholder. There is a 2.9% p.a. balances transfers offers for 6 months. For a limited time, cardholders can earn 3 miles for The 3 miles per dollar spend special promotion applies to Retail Purchases up to the value of 25,000 Miles. Cash Advances, Balance Transfers and Special Promotions are excluded from this offer. Cardsholders must apply and spend before the 31 August 2011 to be eligible for this offer. After the 25,000 Miles, Skyward Miles are earned at a rate of 1.5 miles for every dollar spent on Retail Purchases. Bookings can be made for up to nine passengers, including stopovers, and tickets can be delivered to their door. Purchasing Skywards Miles Members can purchase their Skywards Miles online where Miles are automatically added to their account. If members haven’t earned enough Miles for the reward they want, they can top up their Miles by purchasing them from Skywards service centres in Dubai, Karachi, Manchester, Melbourne and Mumbai. Miles are non-refundable and must be purchased at least 48 hours before departure. Tier miles cannot be purchased. Emirates flight and upgrade rewards Rewards flights are available from just 10,000 Skywards Miles. Upgrades are also available from just 5,000 Skywards Miles. Better still, Emirates has no blackout dates, so you can redeem Miles for flights on any day of the year. At peak periods of travel the demand for reward seats may exceed the availability, so it’s recommended that members plan their trips well in advance. Economy and Peak Economy An Economy flight requires the lowest number of Miles. However, availability is restricted, particularly on popular routes and at certain times of the year. Peak Economy reward seats cost more Miles but are more readily available. Skysurfers Skysurfers has been established for children between the ages of 2-16 years. Skysurfers receive the same benefits as members of Skywards and they have their own membership card, luggage tags, log book and password-protected web site at www.skysurfers.com. Applications for Skysurfers memberships have to be signed off by the parent or guardian of the child. Skysurfers can redeem their Miles for flights to hundreds of destinations, for trips to the Wild Wadi Water Park in Dubai or desert safaris and sand-skiing trips with Arabian Adventures.
