How can I add money to my prepaid card account? You can add money to your prepaid card account by cash or direct deposit. You can also add money to your account from a checking or savings account. How do I load money to my prepaid card from a checking or savings account? Once you have activated your card and set up your user name and password you will be able to add a bank account by clicking the Existing Cardholder selection in the main menu. Then click "My Bank Accounts" under the "Load Funds" option on the main toolbar. Once there, you follow the simple instructions to add your ABA routing number and bank account number, then your bank account is verified by placing (2) micro deposits into the account. Once you have verified these deposit amounts you will be able to transfer money from your bank account to your prepaid card. Note: Funds transferred from a checking or savings account may be held for up to 5 business days. How do I withdraw cash from an ATM? To withdraw cash from an ATM, simply insert your card into the ATM and enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN). Select "checking" and enter the amount of cash you want to withdraw. How do I add cash to my prepaid card account? To add money to your prepaid card account using cash, you will need to take your cash and card number to a store location that offers one of the following money transfer services: - Western Union® - Green Dot® Financial Network How soon, after I load my prepaid card, will I have access to the funds? You will have access to your funds immediately after activation and within one (1) hour after reloading except for loading funds via ACH. Funds loaded via ACH will be available after five (5) business days How much does it cost to add money to my prepaid card account? American DreamCardTM does not charge any fees for adding money. However, store fees may apply. Please visit our Load Center for details on store fees and current promotions. Remember Direct Deposit loads are FREE and save you money on participation fees. Why am I being charged to add money to my prepaid card? When you add money to your prepaid card account with cash, the money transfer providers normally charge a "load fee" for this service that varies by provider. American DreamCardTM does not charge for adding money to your prepaid card account. How much money can I add to my prepaid card account at one time? For direct deposits, we accept deposits from $10 up to $5,000 per day. To add money using cash, you can add as little as $10. There is a maximum cash limit of $950 per day and a maximum cash limit of $9,500 per month. Can anyone add money to my prepaid card account? Yes, anyone can add cash to the account using one of the following money transfer services: Western Union, or Green Dot. Your employer or benefits provider can also add money using free direct deposit. You can also add money to your account from a checking or savings account. Click Existing Cardholder in the main menu. Can I still get approved if I have a negative credit history? Yes. Approval depends on the verification of personal information. You are required to provide a valid Social Security number, date of birth, and physical proof of your address within the U.S. We do not perform credit checks. Lastly, approval depends on verification of legal United States residency and confirmation that the applicant's age is 18 years or older. Why do you need my Social Security number? In order to assist the government in the fight against terrorist funding and money laundering, all financial institutions are required by Federal law to obtain, verify, and record personal data that identifies each individual. We ask for your date of birth, social security number, and other necessary information for identification purposes. It is possible that we may also request a driver's license or other forms of identification. Where can I use my prepaid card? Your prepaid card can be used for purchase, payments or cash wherever Debit MasterCard is accepted. This includes in person, online, or over the phone. However gambling transactions are blocked; and pre-authorization at pay-at-the-pump gas stations may cause the need for you to go inside and pay. What is the American DreamCardTM Prepaid MasterCard®? The American DreamCard Prepaid MasterCard is a prepaid debit card rewards program that provides an opportunity to win a monthly cash prize just for using the card. Grand Prizes: One winner will receive .50% of the total amount of net dollars spent on purchases by the participating American DreamCardTM Prepaid cardholders during the corresponding drawing period. In the instance of multiple authorized users of the selected prepaid card account, the winner is the primary cardholder. If any winner is not an American DreamCardTM Prepaid cardholder, he/she will be awarded the prize via a pre-loaded American DreamCardTM Prepaid card. The maximum amount to be awarded for the December 2009/January 2010 through June 2010 drawings is $500 each drawing. The maximum amount to be awarded for the July 2010 through September 2010 drawings is $1,000 each drawing. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received each drawing period.
