American Express Short Review The TrueEarnings® Card from Costco and American Express is designed for Costco members who have average credit and plan to take advantage of the cash back reward program. A 1% rebate is earned on general purchases, 2% is earned for travel-related purchases, and 3% is earned for restaurant and and on gasoline purchases up to $3,000 (1% thereafter). And you'll receive a $25 Statement Credit when you made first purchase with the card. There is no limit to the amount of cash rebates that can be earned. The card has an average interest rate for purchases and balance transfers (for a reward card), and it is not ideal if you plan to carry a balance. However, there is no annual fee with a paid Costco membership, and you can take advantage of the 0% introductory offer on purchases for six months. This card also provides many common benefits and services associated with American Express® credit cards, such as purchase protection, fraud protection guarantee, extended warranty, auto rental insurance, and travel accident insurance. You can also enjoy the American Express Selects with offers, savings, entertainment and special events. American Express Selects puts together great brands and much more- all in one great place.
