The One from American Express® contributes a percentage of eligible card purchases into a savings account in your name. Through the unique program, 1% of all your eligible purchases will be deposited into an FDIC-insured, high-yield savings account in your name with a special rate of 2.75% APY (variable rate as of 4/15/2008). Plus, $50 will be deposited into the savings account after you make your first purchase. Another great feature of this card is that you never pay interest on new purchases, even if you carry a balance. This card has a low annual fee, which is waived the first year, and a reasonable interest rate for purchases. Many standard benefits and services are also provided.

Cardholders Comment/Review/Rating "My everyday card - AMX is becoming more and more accepted, I don't even ask anymore if they take it. The best part is the 1% cash-back going into the high yield saving account, currently at 5% (Jan 19, 07). I'm using this account to save for my yearly vacation and have auto deposits going into it. The saving account is FDIC protected so no worry there. I have all my month bills paid with this card (electric, oil, newspaper, cable) so I can reap the cash-back. I also like the no upper limit on this card. I will say, don't carry a balance, current rate at 14%. If you're the type that carries a balance, then there are better cards out there for you."
