The Business Platinum Card® from American Express OPEN is designed for business owners who want to earn Membership Rewards points for all of their purchases and enjoy exclusive cardmember benefits and services from American Express. Cardmembers will earn 5,000 bonus points each month that they spend $10,000 through February 2011. In addition, cardmembers earn one Membership Rewards point for every eligible dollar spent. There is no limit to the number of points that can be earned, and earned points have no expiration date. Points can be redeemed for rewards from 21 airlines, hundreds of hotels worldwide, vacation packages, over 50 cruise itineraries, and spa retreats, or cardmembers can transfer Membership Rewards points to their preferred frequent flyer program to get the points needed for a reward flight, stay, or upgrade. Cardmembers receive access to a variety of benefits and services including Airport Club Access, OPEN Savings, the Business Travel Center, Roadside Assistance Anywhere, and various account management services. There is also a concierge service to assist with business needs from gift giving to dinner reservations as well as a Business Platinum Car Rental program with complimentary enrollment in the Hertz #1 Gold Club, Avis Preferred, and Emerald Club from National Car Rental. It's important to note that this card is a charge card, and the bill is due in full each month. The card has no pre-set spending limit; however, purchases are approved based on credit record, account history, and personal resources. There is also a $450 annual membership fee.
