The Cash Yes MasterCardŽ is issued by MetaBank. This card is an unsecured credit card designed specifically for those people with a less than perfect credit history .It is common for this type of card to charge various fees such as an annual fee, an account set-up fee, a program fee, and a monthly maintenance fee. For Cash Yes MasterCard, your initial credit limit will be $675. The initial credit limit given is considered high and generous if compare to other cards in the same category. The following Account fees will be billed to your Account and appear on your first periodic statement: $125 Account Set up Fee; $76 Program Fee; $96 Annual Fee; and $8 Monthly Participation Fee($96 per year). After deducting these four fees (a total of $305) from an initial credit limit of $675, approved Accounts will initially have $370 in available credit. You may be eligible for Credit Limit increases, beginning with the sixth month your Account is open, by satisfying the credit criteria at that time (part of which will be based on your record of timely payments and staying within your credit limit). However, there is a one-time $40.00 Credit Limit Increase Fee for the first credit limit increase. This card does have an above average interest rate for purchases(which is common for this type of card), but those cardholders who can pay their monthly balances in full will be able to avoid the high interst rate while still taking advantage of having their card reported to the major credit bureaus. The Cash Yes MasterCardŽ will benefit those with limited credit who can pay their balances in full, want an unsecured credit card, and do not mind paying the various fees. To be approved for the Cash Yes credit card, you must: (i) maintain an open and active checking account with an insured depository institution; and (ii) authorize the issuer to receive your first Account payment by remotely created check (a paper draft the issuer prepare and present to your depository institution for payment from your designated checking account). The issuer may not approve your Account or extend credit if they are unable to verify this information using the bank routing and checking account number provided in your application.
