The Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express, issued by American Express, is designed for those who frequently travel using Delta Airlines. Cardholders receive one mile for every dollar spent on general purchases and two miles for every dollar spent at participating retailers and merchants (including Delta Airlines related purchases). Additionally, 30,000 bonus miles are awarded to new applicants when they spend $500 on the Card in the first three months from account opening, which is good for a free flight. Cardholders will receive double miles on Delta purchases and 1 mile for all other eligible dollars spent. In each year of Cardmembership, mileage earnings are limited to $100,000 of eligible spending, not including bonuses. However, one mile for every two U.S. dollars of eligible spending on Delta charges will be awarded above this limit. Cardholders will also have access to the exclusive Pay with Miles benefit. Through Pay with Miles, cardholders can pay for a portion or all of their airfare with miles and put any remainder of miles back on the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card. Start redeeming Pay with Miles at 10,000 miles. The annual fee will be waived for the first year. After that time the annual fee is $95. The standard APR for purchases is above average for an airline reward card and not ideal for those who plan to carry a revolving balance. There is an introductory rate of 9.99% offered for balances transferred during the time of application, which applies for 12 months. In addition to the reward program, the card offers many of the common benefits and services provided by American Express®, such as auto rental insurance, travel accident insurance, year-end financial statements, and various purchase protection related services. Those who can afford to pay in full each month (to avoid finance charges), will use the card at participating retailers and merchants (to earn additional miles), and will be able to accumulate enough miles to redeem a free ticket or other travel related services within a two-year period (especially if paying the $95 annual fee) will benefit most from what the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express has to offer.

Miles will be credited to your account 2-4 weeks after you reach the spend threshold. 30,000 bonus SkyMiles awarded within 2-4 weeks after you reach the spend threshold; 15,000 miles awarded if upgrading from classic Delta SkyMiles Card. Additional 2,500 bonus miles awarded for each approved Additional Card submitted with application - up to 5,000 bonus miles. 25,000 SkyMiles good for free ticket up to $250 including taxes and fees. Only Basic (not Additional) Gold, Platinum and Reserve Delta SkyMiles Credit Cardmembers and Gold, Platinum and Reserve Business Credit Cardmembers are eligible. Limited to Delta and Delta Connection® carrier flights booked under DL code on delta.com. Minimum 25,000 miles for free ticket redemption. Pay with Miles tickets are not eligible for mileage accrual, Medallion Qualification Segments, Medallion Qualification Miles, or Best Fare Guarantee. Medallion Complimentary Upgrades on Pay with Miles tickets is limited to Diamond, Platinum, and Gold Medallion passengers and may not be eligible on all flights. Cardholders receive one mile for every dollar spent on general purchases and two miles for every dollar spent on qualifying Delta and Northwest flights. Cardholders earn 30,000 miles right away when they spend $500 or more in the first three months of using the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Business Credit Card from American Express OPEN. These miles are good for a free flight! Cardholders will also have access to the exclusive Pay with Miles benefit. Through Pay with Miles, cardholders can pay for a portion or all of their airfare with miles and put any remainder of miles back on the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Business Credit Card from American Express OPEN. Although there is a high annual fee of $95, it is waived for the first year.
