The Western Union® Prepaid MasterCard®, issued by BANKFIRST, is ideal if you have trouble obtaining a traditional credit card, and you'd like a relatively inexpensive prepaid card.
As with all prepaid cards, the available balance on the card for purchases must be funded in advance. You'll then be able to use the card anywhere a traditional credit card is accepted.
The main difference between the various prepaid cards is the amount of fees required to maintain and load funds onto the card. This card has an extremely inexpensive application fee and
a reasonable participation fee. The card can be funded at participating U.S. Western Union locations, or it can be loaded through direct deposit from your employer for free.
As an added incentive to sign up for direct deposits, the participation fee will be waived for the statement period immediately following a direct deposit.
Signature-based purchase transactions are free, but there is a fee for PIN-based purchase transactions. Although this card does not offer many additional benefits or services,
it is still a great option for those that require a card to make certain purchases.
