![]() It is common for this type of card to charge various fees such as an annual fee, an account set-up fee, a program fee, and a monthly maintenance fee. For Continental Finance MasterCard®, your initial credit limit will be $300. When your card is approved, you will have $50.00 of credit available for use after the $50 Annual Fee and one time Account Processing fee of $200.00 are charged to your account. There is also a monthly participation fee of $15 ($180 per year). However, the monthly participation fee is waived for the first month. Your Account will be reviewed periodically for a Credit Limit increase. You can qualify for Credit Limit increases, beginning with the sixth month your Account is open by satisfying our credit criteria at that time, which may include criteria such as your record of timely payments and staying within your Credit Limit. After the first Credit Limit increase, you can receive additional increases as often as every one hundred eighty (180) days. Each Credit Limit increase will be $75.00, subject to a maximum Credit Limit of $2,000.00. At the time of each Credit Limit increase, a $25.00 Credit Limit Increase Fee will be charged to your Account. This Credit Limit Increase Fee is considered a setback when compares to other unsecured credit cards that do not charge this fee. This card does have an above average interest rate for purchases(which is common for this type of card), but those cardholders who can pay their monthly balances in full will be able to avoid the high rate while still taking advantage of having their card reported to the major credit bureaus.
