The Access Visa® Card is issued by Plains Commerce Bank. This card is designed for those who are having problems getting a credit card due to their past credit history.
This card gives a chance for those with limited credit to get an unsecured credit card.It is common for this type of card to charge various fees such as an annual fee, an account set-up fee, a program fee, and a monthly maintenance fee. For Access Visa, your initial credit limit will be at least $250. When your card is issued, you will have at least $50 of credit available for use after the $56 Account Set-Up Fee, $96 Program Fee, and $48 Annual Fee are charged to your account. You must make payments on your account to free up additional available credit. There is also a monthly participation fee of $8 ($96 per year). Cash Advances are permitted only after your Account has been open for ninety (90) days, is not delinquent and is not over the credit limit. Upon your request, a minimum Credit Limit Increase of $25 may be granted after your account has been open for six (6) months, has not been past due for the prior three (3) months, and is not over limit. Every three months thereafter, upon your request, your account will be reviewed for a credit limit increase using the same requirements. Unlike some unsecured credit cards, there is no fee imposed for the review or for any resulting increase in the credit limit for this card, which is a plus point. This card does have an above average interest rate for purchases(which is common for this type of card), but those cardholders who can pay their monthly balances in full will be able to avoid the high rate while still taking advantage of having their card reported to the major credit bureaus. The Access Visa® will benefit those with limited credit who can pay their balances in full, want an unsecured credit card, and do not mind paying the various fees.
